Painting the town

So we've been here for a few weeks and have gotten most of the things put away but we were ready to put our stamp on it and add some color.
Most of the colors in our house are neutral colors which is awesome expect I've lived with them in apartments/duplex for 4.5 years so I am so ready for COLOR!
I feel in love with Dutch Boy Infidelity Pool, ya guessed it Turquoise! And I went straight for the front door.

Do ya see it? It blends in with all of the walls...not very exciting.
But now....

BAM! Now you can find it!

Here is a what the front of the house looked like before with the door white.

And now blue! LOVE IT!
I'll be back later to show you what else got Infidelity Pool Paint!
Lets just say my house is looking very cheerful & bright!

Home Sweet Home

We bought our first house!!!! Its perfect for us and I absolutely LOVE IT! It's in a small little town between both of our works, closer for me though! Its 2 stories with a full basement and a sunporch!! We started seriously looking in July went to a few open houses got a realtor who was extremely helpful (let me know if you need one!) and listened to what we were wanting. He was patience with us which was great because we had no idea if we would find what we wanted in the price we wanted. I think we looked at close to 10 houses before we came and checked out this house. We really liked it threw in a couple of offers and in about 3 hours it was ours!!

We just moved in this past weekend thanks to the help of our family coming down to help unpack clean and setup a few things the house is coming together! So this is how things are looking after the first few days!
The Front Of the House
When you walk the in door this is what you see..
Office there is a 1/2 bath over in the corner too. This room is far from being complete, but we have a lot of plans for it!
Looking from the stairs to the front door.
Kitchen in the back, the maroon will be changing to a brighter color :)
Here is our full basement! It also has our laundry room another bedroom and a bathroom!
So there is a small tour of our first house! We have lots of ideas and projects so we'll be sure to keep you posted!

Summer Of Photos

I think we spent 1 or 2 full weekends at home this summer. It was jammed pack with good times with family and friends! Here is just a few pictures to sum up our summer..

Tyler & I at the beginning of summer right after he got his haircut!
I forgot he looked this good under all that hair! :P

Chase played machine pitch in salina for the summer. It was awesome for us to go down the street and watch him play.

Linds playing softball

Harvest :)

I've always had a idea to take all of grandma's photos of use grandkids that sits on her entertainment center and do a big collage on the wall. And she let me! Thanks grandma for letting me do this it took me awhile to get it finished but the best part is that I used Velcro Removable Fasteners for Posters so there is not holes in the wall! Now the entertainment center is full of pictures of just the great grandkids.

Mom and I spent wednesdays together watching linds play volleyball....what are we going to do when she graduates!?

I got to see more of Brandon in the 1 week he was here than I have in the last 2 years!

It was summer in kansas of course it's hot! Moral of the story never leave your car parked in the sun..

Tyler and his friend Daniel ran in a Warrior Dash in KC. It was a 3.5 mile course with obstacles like jumping over fire, crawling under barb wired fences and running throw a creek. Here is a picture of him afterwards at this cousins house COVERED in mud!

Thanks Pam and Jim for letting them stay at your house and clean up! I hear your new house is awesome and can't wait to come up and visit you guys!

The last weekend of July my cousin Ryan was getting married in Nebraska City and it was great to see so many family members make the trip for there beautiful wedding!

We finished off the summer with a RoadTrip to South Dakota and it was a BLAST! Movie Trailer will be premiering on the blog and I'll be sure to email it out to everyone as soon as we wrap it up!

I still can't believe that labor day is just 2 weeks away and we'll be back into full volleyball and football mode. I'm really looking forward to the cooler weather. Fall is my favorite I love to have the windows and doors open wear my favorite hoodies & jeans all the time and get back to watching college football on saturdays!
