Ugly Sweater time...

Last weekend we spent back in the village, for grandma barb's christmas and grandma jo's.

Saturday we started off with visiting Santa and we got Addison to visit Santa without freaking out ofcourse that involved me sitting on his lap but hey i had to get my christmas list in there to right?!

Then we were off to visit Bob Howe's train set. Which i remember going to ever christmas since we were kids! And is one of my favorite thing to do.

Then it was time for the weekend event, "The Ugly Sweater Contest." This may just become a annual event because we want revenge against Becky & Scott and am already planning next years sweaters...

I was too busy playing the music to remember to grab the camera so I wasn't able to get everyone but we did film it and will hopefully get that down to uncle sheldon next week so he knows just how much craziness he moved away from!

We finished the weekend up at grandma jo's with a house packed full of cousins, aunts & uncles.

It was a great weekend!

Since i'm just now posting the events from last weekend and it is Christmas Eve we are heading up to Morganville for Christmas with Pat & Louie, can't wait for them to get there Christmas present!!!

8 days till Christmas

So its 8 days until Santa arrives and I'm pretty excited! This weekend we are going to the village Saturday to see Santa come in the fire truck and spend christmas at grandma barbs. Then sunday we are having christmas with grandma jo! I'm excited to get to see everyone, eat some good food and play a few games.
At grandma barbs there will be plenty of games to play maybe a few people caroling depending on how much wine is brought...

Tyler and I (well okay more Tyler) is putting together a Christmas video that we are going to show this weekend to it's full of some laughs and a few surprises! We also have our ugly sweaters ready to be shown to the world! Tyler wants to wear his all day but I'm not sure between the coon hat and sheep coat if you'll see us together! :)

I'll be sure to take LOTS of photos this weekend so I can post who had the ugliest sweater!!

To Grandma's House We Go!

This past weekend my sister and I got to help decorate Grandma Jo's house. I LOVE christmas and decorating is my favorite part! I seem to be the craftiest only in the month of December....

Then we made some Santa Hats for the mantle. They are SUPER cute and very easy to make. (this is the blog I got the idea from http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/2010/11/santa-hat-craft.html)

We made 3 different sizes so we all got to make one. It was like being a kid again doing crafts with grandma! :)

So we threw the window back up on to the mantle and added snow flakes.

Grandma's house is officially ready for Christmas!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Yes I know thanksgiving isn't here yet but I had a free saturday afternoon! Thanks to my mom and sister for spending a half a hour rearranging furniture I was able to get our Christmas decorations up.

This picture doesn't show the glitter so much but its very cute! I'd add lights to it but don't want to make it to heavy. Maybe next year...

Well we lost the homemaker of the week but we still have a pretty awesome table!

Window....

I LOVE old window panes so when i saw this one hanging up in Joanie's Junk in Morganville I had to have it!

However being in a rental hanging white on white walls just wasn't going to work out so we went with red...

It only took us a Sunday afternoon!

Soo one day I'm sitting on the couch and I get the bright idea we should make a new table! Since we did the sofa table I figured we could just make a large sofa table!

It didn't take much convincing to get Tyler on board and a trip to Sutherlands we were ready...

We can't build anything to big or it won't fit in our back seat!

Fell off...

Well I've already fallen off the blog bandwagon but I will be back on it soon! Tyler and I are finishing up out latest project and maybe our last for our house! (I'm really not sure i can fit anymore in there!) As soon as I get it in the house I will reveal what we made!

Hubby's Homemade Pizza!

Feel asleep to wake up to Tyler making homemade pizza....boy did the house smell good!

Well the garage sale was a success! We managed to get rid of alot of junk! I was going to take pictures but we had people there from 7-1! Mom and I did check out the other garage sales but had no luck, guess that was a sign to head back to our garage sale and get rid of our own crap!

Saturday Night we were able to keep the Surprise Party a SURPRISE! Tom just about had the party canceled Wed when he told Mom he was going fishing for the weekend and wouldn't be back till Sunday. Well after Mom made a few phone calls and throwing a fit about fishing in September he canceled the fishing trip with still no idea what we had in mind.

We managed to Surprised him with the help of family, friends and co-workers! Thanks everyone for helping and keeping this a secret!

2010 Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend was full of FAMILY FUN!
Saturday we celebrated Grandma Barb's birthday she'll turn...39 on the 10th and Tom turned the big 60!!

Sunday we headed up to Belleville High Banks to watch the races, it's really becoming a yearly event for us to meet up and grill some burgers. Can't wait to do it again next year!!
