Hubby's Homemade Pizza!
Well the garage sale was a success! We managed to get rid of alot of junk! I was going to take pictures but we had people there from 7-1! Mom and I did check out the other garage sales but had no luck, guess that was a sign to head back to our garage sale and get rid of our own crap!

is he 60 or 90??
Saturday Night we were able to keep the Surprise Party a SURPRISE! Tom just about had the party canceled Wed when he told Mom he was going fishing for the weekend and wouldn't be back till Sunday. Well after Mom made a few phone calls and throwing a fit about fishing in September he canceled the fishing trip with still no idea what we had in mind.
We managed to Surprised him with the help of family, friends and co-workers! Thanks everyone for helping and keeping this a secret!
Happy 60th Tom!
This little girl gave Tom lots of hugs, of course he gave her lots of cake!is he 60 or 90??

ROADTRIP!! If you build it, we will come...
Tyler has always wanted to go to the field of dreams movie site in Dyersville Iowa. So about a month ago I talked to Caleb and Priscilla and we picked a weekend to go play ball!
Friday night we headed to kc for a free night at the Bacon Hotel where we realized that Chicago isn’t that far away! So what the hell we’ve never really been east of KC, Mo so why not just keep driving!

And that’s exactly what we did!
Iowa was pretty cool to drive through, lots of corn and farms every 2 miles with 3 silo’s and at least 6 barns! We finally made it to our first destination Dyersville Iowa home of The field of dreams movie site!
There wasn’t too many people there a few families out taking pictures of the corn, (one lady who we were pretty sure took some, hope she didn’t want to eat it because it was not ready!) We ate a quick lunch and played around on the field for about a hour

Then it was on to our next stop, CHICAGO!!!
So through some hills...

Over a HUGE RIVER...

Through a good hour of traffic, we made it to!!!

We were in Chicago with no idea where to go! I mean after all we did just decided 24 hours before hand that we were even going there so we had no idea what to expect! We hopped on to a side street and got extremely lucky and ended up driving right by Wrigley Field....(photo) kept driving east and made it to Lake Shore Dr which drove us RIGHT by the Michigan Lake!
There was 2 reasons in why we picked Chicago 1. We hear there pizza is really good 2. John Hughes (Tyler’s Movie Idol) did a lot of movies there 3. The Willis Tower
What better way to see the town than being 1,450 feet and 110 stories high!!!

DON'T LOOK DOWN!!

After a good 3 hours in Chicago we found a good clean safe looking hotel!
Woke up the next day to start the long drive back to kansas. We did find the worlds largest truck stop right in the Middle of Iowa...
(
By the time we dropped off Priscilla and Caleb and made it back to Salina it was 8:45, a good 12 hours after we left Chicago.
We do want to go back to Chicago sometime there is a lot more to see....any takers for next weekend????
